This week

Pregnancy this week and last week has been pretty good.

Nausea
I haven't been nauseous at all since Saturday, March 7, which has been great. It was pretty bad when the plane landed in Idaho, but disappeared after that. My friend, Katrina (whose 20 weeks pregnant), felt pretty good until about week 8. Then she said it was pretty gnarly until week 14. I'm hoping I get lucky enough to only have "morning" sickness for 6 weeks, unlike my momma who was sick with me into her third trimester!!!

Exhaustion
This is definitely one pregnancy symptom I have had a lot of! I've been very tired for the past two and a half weeks. Wanting to take naps during the day, falling asleep on the couch after work, going to bed earlier and earlier. You would think I would get enough sleep if I am going to bed early, but unfortunately I'm waking up several times during the night to pee, because I'm uncomfortable, because I'm having funky pregnancy dreams, and also because I'm waking up everyday at 3:00 a.m. and can't fall back to sleep for at least an hour. I have found that if I nosh on fruit and nuts throughout the day, I don't feel quite as tired as when I only eat every three to four hours.

Frequent Peeing
I can't believe how much I've been peeing lately!!! Just yesterday I used the bathroom about 20 times, I swear!!!! And the middle of the night wake-up pees are the worst!!!!

Tender, Tender, Tender
Out of all of the pregnancy symptoms, this one is one of the worst!!! My chest hurts ALL the time. I think it even hurts when someone looks at it! Does this part pass sometime soon? Anyone know?

Forgetfulness
I have some serious forgetfulness. Example: I was supposed to go over to my mom's house to do some beading on Sunday. Around 4:30 p.m., I realized I had completely forgotten all about it, even though we discussed it the day before. I am lame! To make sure I'm not forgetting things at work, I've been keeping lists like a mad woman!!! I've also got an awesome co-worker, Kim, who makes sure to keep track of the really important stuff and sends me reminders.

So far, being pregnant is almost all I can think of. I feel bad because I know it dominates most of my conversations. It's kind of funny since before being pregnant, work dominated most of my conversations and was all I can think of. Weird how that shift happens!

I hope you all have a great week and promise to blog again soon!

I'm 21 weeks! Not 20! ;-) hehe. And I went through a week or two where I would wake up at like 4am... but that passed for me... hopefully it will for you too!

Counting down are we, dear? ;-)

I truly hope the waking up at 3am passes! I'm already tired enough as is, adding that in there doesn't make it easier!
